Fun Fall Activities in Geneva

October is here, and that means the weather is getting cooler, the leaves are changing, and Halloween is right around the corner.  So, what are some fun things to do this Fall in Geneva? Here are some popular events and activities you can look forward to in October.

Downtown Geneva Trick-Or-Treating

This year’s annual trick-or-treating will take place on Thursday, October 27 in downtown Geneva. Whether you plan to hand out candy or watch your grandkids show off their Halloween costumes, this family-friendly event is fun for people of all ages. Participating shops and restaurants will be handing out treats between 2 and 5 p.m.

Geneva Women’s Club Artisan Market

The Geneva’s Women Club will be hosting their Artisan Market on October 15 at the Kane County Fairgrounds. The market will offer seasonal, hand-crafted home décor items and treats from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This year over 50 new artisans will showcase their items at the show, and all proceeds will benefit local Fox Valley area charities.

Autumn Fest Geneva Self-Guided Jack O’ Lantern Walk

On Friday, October 7, local merchants in downtown Geneva will come together for the 4th annual Jack-O’-Lantern Walk from 5 to 8 p.m. Several local businesses will offer exclusive in-store specials highlighting their new fall arrivals while participating restaurants will feature food and drink specials. Over 50+ local downtown merchants will also display glowing Jack-O’-Lanterns in their windows or outside their business. Anyone attending will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite pumpkin as they stroll around town.

Explore Nature

Fall is arguably one of the most beautiful times of the year in the Midwest. Consider taking in the beautiful fall foliage on the Fox River Trail. A bike ride with friends or a leisurely walk is the perfect way to stay active while enjoying the beautiful fall weather in Geneva.
