Springtime in Geneva: Fun things to do as the weather gets warmer

There’s always something to do in Geneva—and springtime is no exception. Throughout April, May and early June, you will find a wide selection of events and activities for people of all ages. Here’s a peak at this spring’s upcoming events:

Geneva French Market

Take a trip to the Geneva French Market for your farm fresh fix of local produce and flowers. The European-style market offers unique eats, treats, treasures and more in downtown Geneva. The market will run every Sunday starting in mid-April from 9 am to 2 pm. Learn more about the market or view a full list of vendors.

Coffee Crawl

If you love coffee, this event is for you! Grab a friend or two and sip your way around the Fox Valley at fourteen businesses serving coffee-inspired items on April 22.  Click here to register or to view a full list of participating coffee shops.

Earth Day Celebration

On April 22, join other Geneva residents for an Earth Day celebration at Peck Farm Park (pictured above). The event is free to the public, and activities include recycling opportunities, nature crafts, rain barrel sale, self-guided prairie tours, food vendors and more. Geneva City-Wide Garage Sale

The City of Geneva will host a city-wide garage sale April 28 and 29 from 8 am to 4 pm each day. Get outside and meet your neighbors, find bargains and rummage through miscellaneous treasures. Online maps will be available by April 26.

Get Outside

If nature is calling, there are always plenty of outdoor activities to do in Geneva that will get you out into the crisp spring air. Take a stroll on the Illinois Prairie Path, ride bikes on the Fox River Bike Trail or take your grandkids to Island Park, which features a treehouse themed playground and zipline.
