Geneva, IL — The Reserve of Geneva is pleased to announce the appointment of Elizabeth Battaglia as its new Lifestyle Director. In this role, Battaglia will lead the community’s lifestyle programming, creating engaging experiences and activities that enrich the lives of residents and strengthen the vibrant community atmosphere.
A lifelong resident of the Fox Valley region, Battaglia was born in Elgin, Illinois, and has also lived in Indianapolis and St. Charles. She graduated with High Honors from Elgin Community College with a degree in Liberal Arts.
Battaglia brings a passion for creativity and connection to her work with older adults. She describes her role as helping residents create meaningful memories and shared experiences.
“I love hearing people’s life stories and discovering the wisdom that comes from their experiences,” said Battaglia. “Geneva offers so many cultural and artistic opportunities, and I look forward to helping residents explore new experiences together.”

Battaglia lives in Elgin and is the proud mother of two daughters. Bella is an electrical engineer who graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and Sophia is completing her degree in Public Relations at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater while working as a veterinary technician.
Outside of work, Battaglia enjoys photography, rock climbing, gardening, and spending time outdoors with family and friends. She also cares for goats and chickens, enjoys thrifting, and loves relaxing with her daughters while watching their favorite television series, Psych.
“At 47, I can still do a pretty impressive headstand,” Battaglia joked. “If I could have one superpower, it would be helping others see how special they are.”
